12:45 PM - 1:45 PM Spiritual Retreat: "Changing the World Through Our God Given Gifts"
Connor FlanaganIn a world filled with uncertainty, our unique gifts and talents serve as a compass pointing toward our true calling. This presentation explores how embracing your God-given abilities can guide life decisions and create meaningful impact. Rather than allowing fear of the unknown to dictate your path, discover how your innate talents offer clarity and purpose. Your gifts & talents aren't just for personal achievement, they're a divine invitation to contribute something only you can offer to those around you. When we align our decisions with our calling rather than our fears, we unlock our greatest potential to transform both our lives and our world.
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM General Session Presentation: "Dignity of the Human Person"
Tim Williams, Senior Director, Formation & Leadership DevelopmentOne of the four permanent principles of Catholic Social Doctrine, the dignity of the human person is at the heart of both our Vincentian vocation and of our faith fully lived. What does this mean for us in our daily lives and in the way in which we serve the neighbor?
3:15 PM - 4:15 PM Catholic Social Teaching
Reverend Larry SnyderIt has been said that Catholic Social Teaching is the Church’s best kept secret. This session will show how Catholic Social Teaching finds its roots in the Gospel and should be the foundation of doing social ministry in the name of the Church. It answers the questions “why” and “how” of what we do.
4:15 PM - 5:15 PM General Session: "Art of Accompaniment"
Mary Beth FullerAn insightful session where we will explore how to integrate a faith-based response to mental health and substance use challenges. We will focus on the unique struggles faced by the poor and the homeless, and our call to accompany them in their suffering. Sometimes, the most valuable resource we can offer is our presence during their time of need. This session will empower you to make a meaningful impact through compassionate support and personal contact as a Vincentian, affirming each person’s dignity and worth as a child of God.
